Little Cowpoke Lunch: Recipe

Out on the range we eat lots of beans & franks - a traditional western lunch.

Level Of Difficulty: EasyMediumDifficult

Time To Prepare: Under 1 Hour

Time Until Ready: Under 1 Hour

Recommended Age: 3 to 8 years

Out on the range we eat lots of beans & franks – a traditional western lunch. We kept it super simple and kid friendly by slicing hot dogs into canned pork and beans. Once heated, lunch is ready to be served. Add a biscuit on the side and you’re good to go. We served ours in a metal pie tin for that classic chuck wagon feel.

What you will need:

  • Hot dogs
  • Canned pork & beans
  • Biscuits (I used refrigerated dough biscuits)

Step 1

Slice hotdogs into beans
