My kids always ask to listen through their doctor’s stethoscope, so today, we decided to make one of our own! We already have our DIY Doctor Lab Coat, so this will be another item we add to our Doctor pretend play box.

My kids always ask to listen through their doctor’s stethoscope, so today, we decided to make one of our own! We already have our DIY Doctor Lab Coat, so this will be another item we add to our Doctor pretend play box.

What you need:

  • Headband
  • 24-36 inch ribbon
  • White felt
  • Red felt
  • Fabric glue
  • Scissors
  • Circle to trace (optional)

Step 1:

Cut out your felt pieces. You’ll need 2 white circles that are the same size. I used a shape to make mine perfectly round. I also cut a heart out freehand for decoration.

Step 2:

Put fabric glue from one end to the center of your ribbon, then wrap around the middle of the headband and fold the ribbon in half to seal it shut.

Step 3:

Glue one of the white circles to the back of the end of the ribbon and the other one to the front.

Step 4:

Add the heart, or any other decoration you might want.

Step 5:

Once the glue has dried, create “ear pads” with some of your remaining felt. I cut two strips the length of my felt sheet. Fold it in half, the long way, slip over the top of the end of the headband, and wrap and glue. These keep the ears safe and comfortable! Step 6: Time for the doctor to make a house call!
